PROJECT FREEDOM: How the Idea Really Came to Be (Full Interview)

Reading time: 8 min

In this interview, we discuss how Progetto Libertà was born, the problem of financial literacy, and how more and more people are starting to build true financial freedom through concrete tools and personal growth.

In recent years, more and more people are starting to ask themselves a simple but uncomfortable question:

is this really the life I want to live?

Work harder, chase expenses, hope that something will change on its own... or start building, step by step, a more conscious form of freedom?

It is precisely from these questions that the Freedom Project.

In this interview we spoke openly:

  • How did the idea for Progetto Libertà actually come about?

  • What problem did you see in society that the market wasn't addressing?

  • What is your vision for the gradual creation of "freedom," both financial and otherwise?

  • When did you realize you weren't creating a financial project but something broader?

You can find the full interview below 👇

1️⃣ How the idea for Progetto Libertà really came about

Project Freedom was not born from a theory or a book.

It arises from the observation of reality.

For years we have seen people work hard, commit themselves, study…
and despite this always stay in the same spot.

Not because he lacked intelligence or will.
But why were they missing? the right tools.

School doesn't teach financial literacy.
Society pushes you to consume, not to build.

So many people end up living their entire lives without ever stopping to ask themselves:

  • am I really getting better?

  • or am I just running faster?

Project Freedom was born from here:
from the desire to share tools that allow people to take back control of your life.

2️⃣ What problems did you see in people that the market wasn't addressing?

I could write an entire book on this question.
I will simply share some of the most important concepts we have observed over the years.

The first challenge, perhaps the most obvious, was precisely the lack of margin.

Many people live in a pattern that seems normal, but is actually extremely fragile.

They work all day.
They earn a salary.
They pay expenses and installments.
They get to the end of the month without a breath.

And when something goes wrong… a crisis, an unforeseen event, a sudden change… the whole balance is thrown off.

Not because they are incompetent.
But because the system they live in is built for keep them in precarious balance.

When you have no financial margin:

  • you can't afford to make mistakes

  • you can't afford to stop

  • you can't really afford to choose

And it is precisely here that the first block towards the financial freedom.

The second great shortcoming: financial education

Added to this is another huge problem:
the almost total absence of financial education.

School doesn't teach you:

  • how to create extra income

  • How to protect what you earn

  • how to invest in time

  • how to distinguish between consumption and construction

This educational vacuum is one of the reasons why millions of people work all their lives without managing to build a real financial freedom.

Without financial education:

  • you don't know how to create alternatives

  • you don't know how to protect your purchasing power

  • you don't know how to build something that will last

And so it is that each year ends up resembling the previous one more and more.

The most invisible challenge: working on yourself

But there was also a third challenge, even more profound and often ignored:
the lack of inner work.

Many people think that their only limitation is economic.
In reality it often is mental and emotional.

The beliefs we carry inside influence every choice we make.

If inside you there are ideas like:

  • “money is hard to make”

  • “I'm not cut out for these things”

  • “better not to risk it”

  • “I don't want to lose what I have”

then you will automatically make decisions that are consistent with these beliefs.

Even when an opportunity appears in front of you, you may not see it.
Or sabotage it.

Not because you're not smart.
But because your belief system is not aligned with what you want.

Where change really comes from

This is where we understood something fundamental.

The problem wasn't just economic.
And it wasn't just financial.

It was a mix of three elements:

  • lack of margin

  • lack of financial education

  • lack of personal awareness

When these three factors combine, people end up living their entire lives reacting to circumstances rather than creating them.

But when a person starts to develop:

  • financial education

  • concrete tools

  • personal growth

then something really changes.

And it is precisely from this observation that it was born Freedom Project.

Not as a simple financial project,
but as a path that unites financial education, financial freedom, and personal growth.

Because freedom doesn't just come from outside.

It comes first inside 😉

3️⃣ What is your vision regarding the gradual creation of "freedom," in this case financial and otherwise?

When talking about financial freedom, many people imagine something sudden.
A great stroke of luck, a perfect investment, or a radical change of direction.

The reality is very different.

Freedom, whether financial or personal, almost never comes from a sudden event.
It is born from a gradual process, made of awareness, tools and choices repeated over time.

And this is precisely the vision behind Freedom Project.

Financial freedom doesn't mean becoming a millionaire

One of the first things we try to clarify when we talk about financial freedom it's this:

It doesn't mean becoming a millionaire.

It means something much more concrete and often much more important.

It means starting to reduce the addictions that limit your life.

Dependence on:

  • one salary

  • a single source of income

  • from external decisions

  • a system that suddenly changes its rules

When you start developing financial education, you understand that true freedom comes from the ability to create alternative.

Even small ones.

The first step is to create margin

Before even talking about investments or financial strategies, there is a fundamental step:
create margin.

Margin means having space.

Space for:

  • learn

  • experience

  • make mistakes without collapsing

Many people fail to build financial freedom simply because they live under constant pressure.

When every euro is needed to survive, it becomes difficult to think ahead. Don't you think?

This is why the path to financial freedom does not start with finance.
Part from the stability.

The second step is to develop financial education

Once you have created a minimum margin, the next step is to develop financial education.

Not to become experts in markets or speculation, but to understand some fundamental principles:

  • How money flows work

  • how to protect purchasing power

  • how to build assets over time

  • how to diversify your income

When a person develops financial literacy, it changes the way they look at work, money, and the future.

Decisions become clearer.
The least emotional choices.

And this is where the construction of the financial freedom becomes really possible.

The third step is personal growth

But there is one aspect that is often ignored.

Financial freedom isn't just a numbers game.
It's also a question of identity and mentality.

If you keep thinking to yourself:

  • “I'm not cut out for these things”

  • “better not to risk it”

  • “I don't want to lose what I have”

then you will end up making decisions that are consistent with these beliefs.

And that's why in Freedom Project we have also integrated a personal growth path through The Way of Love.

Because when a person changes the way they see themselves, they inevitably also change the way they build their life.

I'll give you a little taste with a short video 👇

Freedom is not a sudden achievement

Another fundamental point of our vision is that freedom is not an event.

It's a direction.

There is no day when you “arrived”.
There is a moment when you start moving in a different direction.

Maybe by creating a second entrance.
Maybe by better protecting what you earn.
Maybe by making more informed decisions.

Over time, these choices begin to add up, and what previously seemed impossible becomes simply the result of a journey.

This is the heart of the vision of Freedom Project:
Combining financial education, practical tools, and personal growth to empower people to build a freer life, step by step.

Not perfect.
But more aware

4️⃣ When did you realize you weren't creating a financial project but something broader?

At the start Freedom Project was born with a very clear objective: to share tools financial education that could help people improve their economic situation.

The idea was simple.

If a person learns to manage money better, create extra income and protect what he earns, over time he can build a form of financial freedom.

But as time went by, something happened that we hadn't foreseen.

People who started this journey didn't just change their relationship with money.
They were changing the relationship with one's own life.

When the questions change, everything changes

Many people came to Progetto Libertà thinking they were solving an economic problem.

Then they started asking themselves different questions.

No longer just:

  • “How can I earn more?”

But also:

  • “What kind of life do I want to build?”

  • “How much time am I really living and how much time am I just working?”

  • “What choices am I making out of fear?”

When a person develops greater awareness, the way they make decisions inevitably changes… and that's when we began to understand that we were observing something deeper.

Money as a tool, not an end

Over time it became apparent that money was just one part of the equation.

Of course, developing financial education is essential.
But freedom doesn't just depend on the numbers in your account.

It also depends on:

  • how long do you have to live

  • how free you are in your choices

  • how consistent you are with what you feel inside

Many people began the journey to improve their financial situation…
and ended up changing jobs, habits, relationships and perspectives.

Not because anyone told them.
But why did they become more aware.

From a financial project to a path of awareness

It is precisely by observing these transformations that we understood something important.

Project Freedom was not just a financial project.

It was a path that united:

  • financial education

  • financial freedom

  • personal growth

Because when a person acquires concrete tools and at the same time works on himself, something very powerful happens.

He begins to feel less like a victim of circumstances and more creator of her own reality.

The point where everything connects

Looking back, it is clear today that Freedom Project it was never just a money project.

It has always been a project about human freedom.

Money is a tool.
Awareness is the key.

And when these two elements begin to work together, life ceases to be a sequence of reactions and finally becomes a conscious creation.

✉️ Conclusion

Looking back, what has become clear over time is that Progetto Libertà was not born simply to talk about money.

It was created to help people develop tools and awareness.

Tools like the’financial education, which allow you to better understand money, create margin and build a greater financial freedom.

But also personal awareness, because without working on oneself—without facing fears, limiting beliefs, and internal automatisms—even the best strategies risk getting us nowhere.

Freedom, in fact, is not something that comes suddenly.

It's a path.

A path made up of:

  • knowledge

  • more informed choices

  • concrete tools

  • personal growth

It is precisely this balance between financial education and inner growth which over time has transformed Progetto Libertà into something broader than a simple economic project.

It has become a space where people can begin to take back control of their lives.

If you want to hear the story and vision behind it all firsthand, you can watch the full interview above.

It could be the beginning of a new perspective.
